Amar Dhoj lama is a paragon of struggle and success and he has been an inspirational personality in the field of
Journalism where has been working for 25 years. As a printing operator of Himalaya printing press, he had spent some of years in starting phase of his career. And after, he was given the responsibility of proof reader in 1991 from where he started his journey in the field of print media. His first article was published on ‘Priya’ magazine in 1995. Today he is enjoying his field as a senior program officer of Radio Nepal, a renowned trainer of public speaking and mass media, editor in chief of www.sambadpost.com, Leadership development trainer, Stage program host, motivational speaker, columnist and Lyricist and a good human being.
He entered in the world of voice/audio in 1997 with a radio magazine program ‘Sangallo’ broadcast from Radio Nepal Dipayal Broadcasting Station in the far west. In his initial phase of career, he used to spend whole night without feeding after reporting a day out. He has experienced the time while the journalism sector was taken as a tough on the basis of income
source. But today, it becomes the fourth state of nation just because of its worthiness as a mediator and watch dog of society and nation as well. Today, he sees innumerable opportunity and quality income source in this
sector because this is the age of 21 st century, the information is becoming like basic need. So, only the journalism is medium of information’s accessibility. Being a journalist, he is fulfilling all the wishes and requirement of family with lots of happiness. Before grabbing the prosperity there is something that always influences us to move forward. Like that, his family member always supported and motivated him to take a regular path in the very hard and struggling time too.His career was more established when he got chance to work in world’s biggest organization called United Nations Radio team in Nepal. He has worked as a Radio producer in United Nation Mission in Nepal (UNIMIN) in 2008. Likewise, Lama got chance to join UNDP and UNICEF as a radio program producer. He has contributed to the peace process in a substantial manner to build more inclusive society in Nepal through radio program and PSAs.
Till this date, Amar has given training to more than 100 FM station from their initial phase. And more than 5000 media persons are benefited from his guidance where he is affiliated as a chief trainer based on different issue of journalism. From his all experience, he defines journalism as a means of communication which is necessary for the ensuring of quality life. Program coordinator in Maitri FM 99.4(now call sign changed in radio Thaha sanchar) in 2006, Director of "Radio for Workers' team established by General federation of Nepal’s trade Unions(GEFONT) in 2005 and Radio program producer at BBC world service trust in 2001.
He is also a student of Journalism as he completed master degree in Mass communication and journalism from Central department of journalism and mass communication, Tribhuvan University.
Amar Dhoj lama has joined Radio Nepal in 1997. He was appointed as a member of Broad of Directors at same organization in 2011. He is famous and renowned for his Program ‘Sangeet Sarowar’ a Radio letter formatprogram broadcast from Radio Nepal. Still, this program has high popularity as the program format and presentation skill is unique in that program comparing to others. His birth place is Namobuddha municipality-05,Kavre,
province no. 3, and now he is living in New Baneswor, Kathmandu, with his family. He has his supporting and understanding wife Ms, AmbikaSyangtan, son Sandesh lama and daughter Sabnam lama.
He has interest in reading books, listening music and exchanging news throughout the world using new media and its means. It’s been more than 20 years that his content of program is promoting peace, love, people's right
to expression and promotes dialogue and debate culture rather than violence from the medium of radio. Currently, he is working in different national and international organization as being a following affiliated.

Today he is in this precious position and his desire is also to be a motives character from where he is making proud to his father and mother. For the sake of making famous to father’s and mother’s name, he becomes one of
the social responsible person with honest character. He got injured by tradal machine while at working in Himalaya Printing Press in 1991 and it took 2 years for the treatment but that incident didn’t discourage him rather it
made him more determined and focus in his profession. In his opinion, this is the age of technology and competition. So, now journalist most have to make him/herself extra forward and friendly in technological field, such like digital editing, Social Networking Site, Digital Video Recording, Digital Video Broadcasting, broadband Internet, catch-up services from broadcasters, semantic databases etc. Every time, everywhere journalist have to fit for
conventional as well as new media’s means and subject. That’s why he indicates the journalism as a behavioral science and holistic medium of information.
From his life and behavior people may learn honesty, fairness, determination, kindness, trustworthy, passionate and he is so friendly, supportive and open-minded person. According to the people who know him, he always seems with smiley face while talking, guiding and interacting. That is another best aspect about him that he can face any challenges and solve it with being happy and prosperous. He was also awarded by ‘Tamang Media Award’ in 2009. Now, he has ambition to provide his experienced knowledge of journalism to the new generation who are coming with lots ofpossibility. After all his struggle and achievement, he defines life as a process of giving answer of recurring questions through the responsibilities. And he says that such questions will always arise in our every path and moment.
